Bicycle Inner Tube Recycling:

Bring your bicycle inner tubes and tires to REI's booth and they'll send them in to be recycled into wallets and bags. No tubes with slime inside, please.

(Sorry, no other materials are being accepted for recycling at this event. But thanks for recycling!)

Bike Donations:

Two organizations that accept donated bikes will be at the event - St. Louis BicycleWORKS and Working Bikes Cooperative. Donated bikes will be fixed up in BicycleWORKS earn-a-bike program and used by local youth or sent to developing countries where they are needed.

Bicycle Swap and Classic Bike Show 2008

6th Annual Bicycle Swap Meet and Classic Bike Show

Thanks to all who came out this year. We're already planning for 2009!

Hosted by the St. Louis Regional Bicycle Federation

Sunday, January 27, 2008
10 AM - 4 PM

Gateway Center

One Gateway Drive • Collinsville, IL 62234 (just 12 minutes from the Arch)

Individuals, Bike Shops, Nonprofits, Racing Teams, Riding Clubs!

Buy and sell bikes and anything bicycle-related. You do not need to bring a bike to enjoy this show. Just come on out if you are interested in bicycling and see every kind of bike from authentic high-wheelers, to replicas, to brand new bikes with the latest technology. Shops and individuals from all over the midwest and Colorado are here with new and used bikes and related goods! Don't miss the deals!

REI and alchemy goods will be accepting old bicycle tires and bicycle inner tubes for recycling. (No slime tubes, please!) Also note that if you buy something from alchemy goods online and mention the St. Louis Bike Fed or the Bicycle Swap Meet & Classic Bike Show, ag will make a donation to the BikeFed!

Have a bike you just don't want and would like to donate to a good cause? BicycleWorks and Working Bikes Cooperative will be accepting donated bikes that will be shipped to developing countries and given to people who need them. BikeWorks requests a $10 donation along with donated bikes.

Do you have just one bike to sell? We have a bike corral where you can place your bike for sale for just $5 per bike (above your admission). We help you watch the bike so you can shop a bit - you just have to let us know when you'll be back to make a deal. Once you have paid your admission look for the signs pointing to the bike corral.

Members of Circus Day Foundation's St. Louis Arches youth circus troupe  will perform at 12:30 pm using bicycles and unicycles combined with an array of circus tricks and skills. Don't miss this amazing performance! Click the following link for a video that highlights their performance at the last event. Video courtesy of UrbanReviewSTL.com.

Bike Corral. We'll have a space if you just have one bike and don't want to buy a vendor space. $5 per item. You need to stay with your product part of the time but are also free to walk around.

Vendors set up 7PM to 10PM Saturday and 7AM to 10AM Sunday. If you are bringing a large trailer or vehicle as part of your display, please arrive early on Saturday to be among the first in the building. These vendors must also protect the floor from oil drips and tire marks in your squares. Please bring plastic, drip pans, carpet squares, or other protective material.

Anyone bringing a bike or bikes into the building must bring them through the loading dock doors in back of the building. On the day of the show if you are not a BikeFed member and you have not purchased a vendor booth, and you're not a volunteer, you'll need to purchase a ticket to enter the building. Purchase your ticket first, get your hand stamped inside the front doors, then proceed to the back of the building to bring a bike for the Bike Corral or Classic Bike Show. Thanks!

Doors open to the public at 10:00 AM.

If vendors would like to have time to mingle/swap between yourselves, we suggest being set up by 9:30 AM

After that time, no-shows may lose their space.
No refunds for day-of-event no-shows.
